Wow!! What a turn out. 76 Studebakers at last count and more may have shown up. Beautiful day. Lots of prizes and raffle items. John & Tracy had George and the pickup there, 41 Frank's 41 Champion R2 rod and my 53 Champion rod. Maybe some other forum lurkers. I forgot my camera but maybe someone else got some a few shots. There was a nice article in the Arizona Republic on Friday that brought in many visitors. Phone was ringing about ever 5 minutes yesterday and I had 16 messages on the answering maching from today.

Wish I could have been there. It would beat what we have here. 6 inches of snow.

Anyone from the forum that's caught up in the drama that's playing out in North Dakota?

Seems like the whole USA's getting drenched and we can't BUY a drop of rain here in CA! That's why I'm about to hand over $8K to have our well pushed deeper. Once the farmers around here start to irrigate with gobs of groundwater (cause the state's cut back on giving out water from the resevoirs), I think alot of my neighbors are gonna be in for a rude shock as they go to take a shower![}]

The AZ thing sounds like fun. Wish I'd been there!

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Denny, it was great seeing you at March Madness today. What a terrific event! We are sure that the wonderful turn-out had a lot to do with your great article in the newspaper. Thanks for all that you do! We did take a lot of pictures, so we'll post them as soon as we can on the forum and on our blog.

it's supposedly been dry here too (lower than normal rainfall) but it has been raining for at least the past three days straight. So no outdoor work today; instead bought a new fridge which therefore creates more work... (need to remove a cabinet and make a half fast attempt to smooth/prime the wall before new fridge arrives, then fish a water line up from the basement for the ice maker) well at least I am being productive.

John & Tracy thanks for doing the kids program and giving one of the awards. Will look forward to the pictures. Frank and I are brutes for punishment. We left the Studebaker event and then off to the cruise night at 83rd & Beardsley.

Sorry Joen and I missed it. Other committments and a car that has seemed to be in the restoration process forever (actually over 5 1/2 years) kept us home. One of these days a white over red T-Bird looking Stude is going to make its appearance.

I love it down here. No desire to move back to Nebraska. I still do the cruise nights in July and August even if the temps are warm. Easy to take with no humidity.
