I'm sure we all know plenty of horror stories on this topic. My favourite one is a true story. A bloke had been told to put in anti-freeze in his engine as the winter was just around the corner. He bought a litre of the green stuff and poured it into the hole in the rocker cover !!!
Myself and a friend advised him not to start the car. Fortunately (for him), he listened.

That's a swapped engine (60&1/2 or newer based on looking at the valve covers)..and an alternator..
    Also a swapped grille.
Still, could be a twin to Matthew's truck

Thanks Ron but I can't get it, too much to buy and transport it to OZ, let alone restore it. The guys in my club said "you're best to get a completed one" and since I have nowhere to keep one I'll stick to old advertisements and models.

Beat me how you could go to the trouble and expense of rebuilding an engine then forget the oil [B)]
I had a buddy buy a new Txyxta 4x4 a few years back. He drove it off the dealer's lot and 10 miles down the road the engine turned into a glowing red lump. Prep guys didn't add the antifreeze when it came off the transporter.

Oh man, I hate it when this happens...

The motor was rebuilt and the owner forgot to put oil in it. Do not know what damage was done to the motor.

I'd rather have the wagon parked next to it I think. Beats me how you could go to the trouble and expense of rebuilding an engine then forget the oil [B)]
