  • Stude hubcap's afterlife

Here's some Stude style wheelcovers on a Checker. I BELIEVE this late Stude style covers were used on early 70s Checkers - not as late as this '81 edition.
For those of you who haven't seen the Checker rendition of these caps, the center has the Checker logo in it instead of the lazy S.

Yes, I know that Leonard. But who comes here and searches old topics before they say anything? For that matter, if I'm adjudged guilty of telling the same ol' story I did once before, I need to stop posting today![xx(]

Regarding these wheelcovers - did I offer up THIS particular example, or should I have dug up that old thread to post it to?

I am really sorry. I shouldn't have said anything. I was trying to do it in a joking matter, but it didn't work. If we were standing around talking and we could see the expressions on each other's faces, there wouldn't be any misunderstanding that I was just picking on you in a light hearted manner. I added the laughing faces to try to express that. Again, I am sorry.

Hey Biggsy, I love your new thumbnail signature. You'll have to teach me how to do that. And can someone explain to me why anyone would put buckets and buckets of money into one of those late model Checkers?

Steve, that "3D" look is one of the effects of the Irfanview photo editing software I use.

Checkers were really pretty low production vehicles. Money-makers for movie and advertizing work.
