  • Studebaker doodlebugs?

Were there any Studebaker based doodlebugs, ie: home-made tractors based on cars?
1963 Champ "Stu Bludebaker"- sometimes driver
1957 Silver Hawk "Josie"- picking up the pieces after an unreliable body man let it rot for 11 years from an almost driver to a basket case
1951 Land Cruiser "Bunnie Ketcher" only 47M miles!
1951 Commander Starlight "Dale"- basket case
    1947 Champion "Sally"- basket case
1941 Commander Land Cruiser "Ursula"- basket case

Not necessarily a doodle bug but I think you will find the Waterman Aerobile which was a flying automobile powered by the Dictator Six rated at 100 hp. Five were made. Not much interest but the wings detached and were pulled in a trailer behind the car on land and attached to the car for flying. This was in 1936-38.

Robert Cummings in "The Bob Cummings Show" had a flying car that towed its wings, but it was a Moult Aerocar.

Wow Brad I am impressed! I had not thought about that show in years. Ann Davis was Schultzy and Rosemary De Camp was Bob's sister. For some reason, to post to the forum with a quote I am getting an error message with the statement must have at least 10 characters to post so I tried this was.

Here is a photo of a 1924 Studebaker Light Six doodlebug that I owned a number of years ago. It had two transmission and a truck rear end (make and model unknown). I sold it to a club member from North Carolina who has subsequently passed away.
