Question about Production Order

If this has been asked before, I apologize, but I couldn't find any prior reference to it. I'm looking at a production order for a '55 Commander.
In the box labeled "Model and Body Type" is 16G8 C3 FLYER. I know 16G8 means 1955 Commander and C3 means C (coupe) body trim level 3 (which I think means Custom). I have no idea what FLYER indicates. Help is appreciated. Thanks Howard

FLYER is the code name used for referencing that model in Telegrams.
C3 is a Deluxe coupe.

Western Union used to charge by the number of characters, so Studebaker created tables of simple words that meant either a certain vehicle model or an action (eg, WHEEZE meant "wire immediately when you will ship"). Some of them are defined in the front of the parts books, but some changed too frequently to be included in a printed book.

I dunno, but I'm guessing a trucking company. Normally when shipped by rail, there would be a series of RR initials (including New York Central, which serviced SB), but that doesn't sound like any RR I've ever heard of.

Well, B&H COULD mean the Bath & Hammondsport in Upstate NY, but I don't think that's it!
