  • mystery book: (59 Lark) "Station Wagon in Spain"

Howdy y'all (after quite some time). Does anyone remember seeing or reading an obscure book by Frances Parkinson Keyes (wife of Sen. Henry Keyes) titled "Station Wagon in Spain?" I recently picked up the book club edition of this, dated 1959, and on the watercolor-rendered cover is a new Lark in a decidedly Mediterranean/Medieval-looking plaza with sidewalk cafes, fortified city walls and donkeys. I did a quick google image search and the book cover that came up was totally different (no Lark). Does this ring a bell? PS, when I added scan, I had no idea it'd be GIGANTIC...!

Every copy I've seen has the lark on the dust jacket.

It never ceases to amaze me how, when someone asks a question relating to Studebakers, someone else comes up with the answer.
Boy, what a wealth of knowledge is here on the forum.

So very true, Rog. That's the reason I really love this website!

Thanks to BarnLark, here's the coverjacket in question:

That's one huge file, b.n.k. You might want to edit it and make it a bit smaller for folks on dial up, but we already found it as seen above. I'm not sure how the copyright laws work on book sleeves, but I decided to err on the side of caution and post a link. Anyway, what a great cover and a pretty darn accurate '59 rendering. Much better than some model car boxes trying to be correct!
I really do dig those 2 door wagons. [8D]
