  • Ute shift knob

I had a local glass blower make a shift knob for the ute...

First one he's ever done (although it is just like a paper weight with a hole in the bottom for a threaded insert )

      Dick,
You keep coming up with the nicest little touches for this car. That looks great. I am trying to squeeze in a visit to you and the car when you're in So Cal.

        That is one sweet jawbreaker!
What a nice touch...even more classy than a Rainier beer tap handle.

Nice Touch Dick! And a very tastefully done piece that will compliment that interior!

              Nice job!
On a custom the devil is in the details...the smallest items cab make a huge difference.
A nice piece that will really finish the interior.

For my Bearcat, I had original Stutz-style brake & clutch pedals made and they set off the cockpit (there is no "interior" in a Bearcat) more than you'd expect.

Geesh Dick After ALL that work to restore a really nice, completely stock Studebaker, you go and have to modify [:0] such a simple little doodad. Couldn't find a tan, plastic thingee[?]

Be careful driving that thing, you may get dizzy shifting.

Looks cool, Dick. Just try not to break it when you're tearin' through the gears on some desolate stretch of highway... [8D]

                              I'd say it looks like:

The planet Jupiter viewed through a filter(Uranus and Neptune have very little "stripes"

A marble polished stone(I have one of those bowling balls on my desk from Wall Drug)

It does look hypnotizing. Any possible way to get the ball to rotate on that threaded insert [)]. It does have a certain character that resembles something from Ed Roth [}].

One of those after dinner mints. You just want to open wide with the drool and...(Okay we're gonna stop there, lol)
