  • Carfix '38 ce

The CARFIX show on Motor Trend TV this morning had a 1938 Coupe Express restomod. It was powered by a Studebaker V8. The show was about adding accessory drives on the front and primarily covered a McCulloch supercharger, even disassembling one to show/explain the innards.

    You sure it's a '38?
    Car Fix - Season 9
    Episode 6

Watch as the guys adapt a supercharger to look period correct under the hood of a rare and unusual 302 Studebaker engine. They create custom accessory mounts for the supercharger and finish it all up with a hidden EFI setup.

No, I am not sure. I believe that either it was on the program listing as a '38 or it was stated to be a '38. It looked more like a '37 to me.

I can't view the episode right now, but I can see a photo of the profile
The angle of the A-pillar and door shape looks like a '37 to me.
Either way, it's great for the general public see any Studebaker on TV.

Edit: another photo clearly shows the "winged victory" hood, so yes, definitely a '37
