    The car that infected me with the Studebaker bug was this 1951 Champion 2 door sedan (light blue), back in 1969, when I was 17, during a family visit to my grandparents. Place: a St. Petersburg, Florida used car lot. Price: $90, but it needed new main bearings. I had $150 in the bank, but Dad said "no". So I took this photo. Sorry it's so tiny.

    In high school I bought my 2nd Studebaker, a ‘51 Commander Startlight in that same color, Concord Blue enamel (although it had a green front fender).
