Orange County Studebaker in Placentia is a little hike but is a good option if you need parts and service

Bandon Oregon was a place where they had serious beach patrols and look out.

Oregon was bombed from an airplane that was transported close to the coast in a submarine. It was not shelled from a submarine.

There were also balloons launched from Japanese soil to travel on high winds and bomb Oregon.

The shelling from a submarine was a refinery in Elwood.

It’s in Oregon. Only place in the US that has been shelled as far as I know.

Apparently it was Ellwood and not Santa Clarita.

I don't know for sure if that was Santa Clarita, but that is pretty far inland, they would have to have Serious Range!
Plus, they would miss L.A. by quite a bit!

Is Santa Clarita the town that a Japanese submarine lobbed a few shells into in early 1942? Or am I thinking of a different town?

Albert, first, Welcome back! Not exactly in Glendale/Burbank, but a number of members of the Los Angeles chapter have had very good experience with
Ron (owner) at The Transmission Man on Creekside Road in Santa Clarita.

Just moved back to Los Angeles and I’m searching for a good general mechanic for my 1961 Lark Station Wagon. Does anyone have any recommendations or know who I should contact?

    thanks!,
    Albert
