        A lot of forum members seem to dislike Avantis. However, it is nice to have less rust to deal with. Hog trough replacement is nothing compared to rebuilding a metal shell. Of course if the A pillars are shot...
        And a bad frame is still bad regardless of what the body is made of.

          It looks like you did a good job of saving what you could, your car was a real mess! There are better candidates for salvation out there. It made me wonder what some of my hoard of 55's would have looked like had they been allowed to do battle with the elements over the last forty, or more years. I was lucky enough to intervene and save for myself, or pass on to others, most of them. Sadly a few got away, none of which were as bad as yours.
