    Thanks Silverplate !, and I'm a dummy, I could have looked on my window sticker or sales documents that I still have I bet. That was where I bought my 1st new car, a 428 Ram Air, 4 speed, formal roof (not fastback) Cobra. ( the Fairlane Cobra that came out in 69.) Also remember my salesman's name was Walter Welborne... I need to purge my memory banks, too much needless stuff in there, ha !

      I think on the '61 Lark ad they could have just said "up to $532 cheaper" rather than list the $9 cheaper figure. When buying a car, even back then, who cared about a difference of only $9? Although, you never know....

      I recently signed up for a trial subscription to Newspapers.com to help with some family tree research, and I am really loving the prices in some of the used cars ads that I see. Now all I need is that time machine.
