        The saying is, "All good humor is based on some element of the truth."

        For me, in this case...painfully true. I have two mouser barn cats. I am the only one they will allow to get near them or pet them (only when I feed them). Unfortunately, if I were to attempt to stomp on their bed...I would have to climb up and stomp on my Studebakers!!! Instead...I opted to paint with the most durable (and expensive) paint on the market at the time.

        First time out of the barn this year...

            Earl's Studebaker rarely appears in Pickles these days. Might be a good idea to let the cartoonist know we appreciate seeing it. I did so last year. I made the contact through www.gocomics.com where this strip appears daily.

                  We love Pickles too. He has actually drawn that comic for more than 30 years. For a long time we only saw him on weekends in our local paper, but when we got tablets, Pickles was suddenly there every day and in color too.
