As Jack said you can get your bed liner tinted to the color you want. In this case I wanted brown. I have been told that in 1950 some cars had a body color trunk and some had some sort of brown coating sprayed in the trunk depending on the plant they were built at. We are leaving it brown in Dads car.

As for the paint I am using. The primers are all SPI. The bed liner is U-POL Raptor. The base coat is PPG Deltron. The clear will be SPI universal.

No need to paint over it; today, bed liner can be pre-tinted to perfectly match your paint

That's so beautiful it's an inspiration! My "spray booth" is also my "shop". I may paint a car once every 5 years, but it is so exciting when I do. It's like digging yourself out of a hole and you feel like finally! Progress!

Sounds like a spray booth you just happen to use for other things.
    Anyway, you do nice work.

Man I wish I had a spray booth. We do everything in there. I just built it with the idea of painting in mind. It has lots of lights, intake and exhaust filters built into the walls and a couple of fans that are not really big enough to help with clearing the overspray. If I ever win the lottery, I will have a downdraft spray booth.

That all looks great! As graveyard cars would say “ it’s coming back from the dead”.
