My cousin in Colorado Springs has the engine from his fathers M series pickup that he will give away. Anyone interested?

The price is right, for somebody a little closer to Colorado. Hope it finds a good home.

Does he know if it is a Champion six or a Commander six?

Probably not......he's not a Studebaker guy.....the truck came used from California and was resold by my fathers dealership to my Uncle in the early 50's. It's now in England(less the engine).

Can he count the number of head bolts? That shouldn't be too tough, even for a non-Studebaker guy.

I believe that the Commander six was only used in the M16s and larger. The firewall had to be modified to fit the larger engine. If it came out of a pickup, I'm guessing it is the 170".

That's what I was assuming, also.
