    The BMW 850i didn't need a warning sticker. Their windows raised automatically at 100mph!

    Ok so it sounds like bottom line they never came from the factory with such a sticker. This is one of those I want to impress someone items.

    Seems a bit strange as only the very early Avanti cars were claimed to lose the rear window, not so much due to speed, but due to the "weak" supporting 'clips' that attached in the window rubber. Indeed Studebaker changed the number of clips in the rubber to prevent the window from "popping' out. Back when I was young and stupid I broke most all posted speed laws.........back in the late '60's many areas of I-95 in Broward County were 'ripe' for late night speeding, I admit that my Avanti went over 100 MPH on many occasions over the years I lived down there, and never had an issue with the rear window popping out.

    I have a letter, an original letter in my files about that. Seems the first owner of my 64R2 #5470 exceeded a speed suggestion and lost the rear window. Memory suggests Studebaker replaced the rear window but did not pay labor. Give me some time to find that letter, Ill scan and post.

    Supposedly there is one warning occupants to not roll down windows if speed exceeds XXX mph. Anyone have any info on it?
