Thanks for the replies about the 1955 models. I didn't remember.

They were also the trunk lid spinner on the 58 Packard Hawks, but were slightly modified. The hawks used only a single central hold down stud and not three smaller screws.

They are shown in both the 1955 and 1954 Dealers Facts Books. I included a shot from my 55 dealer book

I thought someone replied to one of your posts in one of those threads I linked above that they were listed in the 1955 Studebaker Accessories booklet and the "55 Studebaker Perspective on Value".

I believe Wayne Carini's all-original 54 has these attatched to the stock 54 Wheelcovers. Click image for larger version

I was under the impression/memory that these are only correct for the 1954 model year. Of course, they will fit on the wheelcovers on 1953s and 1955s.

So it appears that this set is NOT for Sale?

These are the same diameter as the gold centers on the wheel covers. You have to drill 3 holes in the covers to install them. Basically they replace the gold dished center of the cover.

They do look good but they are pretty rare I guess. They are cast pot metal and I have seen some used ones for sale in the past that needed a replating.

I have always wondered why Studebaker would come up with an accessory like this and sell so few apparently. These are not the same as corvette spinners so were they unique to Studebaker?
