  • 2R truck with Pacer front suspension ?

    Wonder how that worked.

    "This truck has a 350 chevy and turbo 350 trans. front disk brakes and for nine inch in the rear. amc pacer independent front suspension NO FRAME MODS MADE!!! clean truck interior done. needs some electrical work. inherited 5 years ago from grandfather. we built it together and would like see go to a good home."

            Next project we start will be an M5. We already have the Pacer suspension and it measures like a bolt in, 259 with T86 OD top loader and Olds rear.

                Not only do you get IRS and disc brakes, you also get rack and pinion steering...manual or power was offered on Pacers.

                    The pacer had a front cross member that bolted on, in the stock configuration. It was quite a popular IFS conversion at one time. Even if it lines up, I would thing some reinforcing would be in order. But I never have done this on a Stude truck, so it may work as a "bolt on"
