  • Did anyone go to the Phil Solheim auction?

I was wondering if anyone has anything to report from the Phil Solheim auction.

I wasn't there. Word is 7 or more big dumpsters of parts and literature went out. Some damaged, some not. A full flow 289 for $10 and an R1 $40. Both rusted tight. Toys and promotional models still going this next weekend.

I've only paid attention to this auction in passing fashion. Is there an auction site or company executing this? I'm wondering if there's a way one might bid by proxy.[B)]

I tried a month ago to get approved for a proxy bid. The response was that the owner did not want to allow it so they hoped I would travel from KC to Milwaukee for the auctions. They only wanted in person bidding.

I just found out the other 64 Avanti went for $11,500 including the buyers premium. No idea what the 67 went for.
