My wife's cousin, Tony Velez, will be there (may be driving his 65 Wagonaire). If anyone here runs across him, please say "hi" for me

The folks from San Diego (who were going) left way before sunrise this morning~ I'd hope they are there by now!!! A former SDC SDC Member from Arizona is tagging along with them in a non-stock '63 Cruiser. What else is making the trip is beyond me...

Yep I found the Hotels Computer. Went on a History tour today it was great. Met Mr Valdez and a few other forum members. Ice Cream Social is in a few minutes so I just Dropped in to the Business room to update you. Lots of 53's here. Having a great Stude talkin' time. Wish you all were here.

              Anne,

If Ray Valdez brought his set of Starlight coupe rear windows (4 pcs) for sale, would you find out how much he wants for them? And E-mail me the answer off-Forum. Oh--and are they scratched up at all?
              Thanks.

Wish I was there meeting you folks! Ah well, Bess is still under the weather.[xx(] I'll get her going yet. That carb setup from Kent should help quite a lot.

Hey Anne, make sure you don't get blown away into the bay. If the weather improves take some pics. And how was the Ice Cream social? Didn't get to stay around for it.

me and my brother went up and wandered around for awhile, talked to a few people we already knew, and met a few that gave us some solid advice on fixing some of the bugs on the Wagonaire.
we also found out that the cloverleaf stamped on the engine number pad indicates a "heavy duty" engine, which nobody knew exactly what that meant, except they were pretty sure the timing gear was aluminum insted of fiber.
also, the buckets aren't factory, they're actually ford van seats.
we might need another starter, since the snouts are different lengths for manual and automatics.

                    wagons ho!

We made it down in the late afternoon on Saturday. The sight of a green 1936 coupe speeding up the freeway in the opposite direction imparted a sense of urgency.

Many had left, but there were still plenty of interesting cars and people.
