  • Don't jump to conclusions - a good PU box here

I just found a 2R5 1/2 ton pickup on e-bay. At first glance it looks real rough, tires blown, bumpers crafted out of pipe, no radiator and the entire right step well missing.

However, take a look at the bed on this thing. Despite the poor condition of the cab, the bed looks decent. Sure it has surface rust and is wavy, but the bed side, fenders and tailgate look worth saving.

It is in Atlanta, TX and the opening bid is $1.00 (though it has a reserve).

It already has that "attitude"...just doesn't look quite like that in person [)].

South Bend might be a stretch for me...especially if I bring a car. 2,250 miles. We'll see.

                Dick,

Does this mean that you will not come east to Lancaster in '08? I would like to get my '46 fire truck spruced up to take to that show.

That might be the only way I can do those far off meets. Sure is more fun bringing a car or truck, however...but the air freight gets kind of pricey. [:0][)]
