This past Saturday I won a $50 gift certificate for Powder Coating.
What on a 56J can get powder coated for $50.00 ?????

    A bracket maybe?

Air Cleaner maybe? Depends on the shop rate at the powder coater.

I'd grab a pitted trim pot metal piece and do the bodywork on it.
Ask them to put the 'chrome' powdercoat finish on it.
Then you can observe, compare, and share your findings...all for nada![]

Bill: I've had two different pairs of valve covers powder coated locally here in Oregon for $45 per pair. They look great and the finish is quite durable.

My valve covers were bead blasted and powder coated, both for $50.

How about your battery tray, holddown, and those two support brackets[?] Basically, any steel touching or around the battery.
