I have to admit, I don't know the car...but probably should. I wonder if StudeRich knows it and/or the owner.

Rich, either you've said too much or too little. Care to explain your remark? Is there something we should know?

Ya know, after looking at the auction pictures... They've a bit too careful look to them. Like the back seat, and there's no full-rear shot. One can see the left-rear clearly, but the right? What gives? It looks like the owner is hiding something. The car looks really clean but...[}]

Dad does, sorta. This is the car that was at that auction down in Burlington about three weeks ago. There was a post about it here when BAMS found it on CraigsList. Dad sold the prior owner many parts for the car. When the owner passed away, the car ended up at an auction house. There are two more where this one came from that were being used for parts.

The sad thing about this car is that I remember it when it was a nice ride. That was 20+ years ago. Three (or more) owners, and many more Pacific NorthWest Winters have not been kind to this car... [V] [xx(] [B)]

OO,OO,OO,OO parts cars[?] I wonder if they're available? Crap, it just occured to me; if the previous owner died, then the parts cars probably just went to the scrap yard![V][8]

Sure Dick it was Fred Carr's wagon right here in beautiful RUSTY Bellingham! That car has hidden rust everywhere, is restorable but the rebuilt engine smoked ever since it was done by Pat's Piston with those (Mickey Mouse) 2 sets of Badger 2.3 Liter Ford 4 Cyl. Pistons!
                  Oh, it's a rare 3 seat wagon!

The Bellingham (Guide Meridian) car dealer who was the high bidder at the auction did not know it's value and overbid it to $1400.00 I think it was, is he now trying to "dump it"?

I don't get it, I just found the ebay ad and in my saved Studebaker Search list of 28 cars '54-'65, this ones shows $3500.00 Buy It Now! Nowhere on the actual ad do I see that! Just the no reserve $200.00 bid!
Added: well OK, but, why does the BIN price still show in the Stude. search "list"?
I guess ebay screwed up AGAIN with their latest "improvement" to their system!

That's the way the "BIN" works. The BIN disappears in a RESERVE auction when the reserve is met. It disappears in an auction with NO RESERVE when the first bid is placed.

It's almost a waste of time to put a BIN on a no reserve auction. The BIN is generally gone in the first few hours of the auction.

I wouldn't know about the 'buy it now' but the title of the auction says 'no reserve'. Therefore, even with the 'buy it now', it seems to be a no reserve auction.

It amazes me what people will pay for almost decent paint![:0] The wagon has gone over eight hundred dollars, even with the hidden rust, and engine problems mentioned here. I guess there aren't many people who look in on this web page and get the inside scoop on things. Ah, well. Hopefully, the new owners will go to the trouble to fix the problems, give it a good home, and don't pay too very much.

Looks like Willie didn't make it! Sold for $960.00 so lets see he paid $1400.00 + buyers premium of 10% no tax, with his resale number = $1540.00 - $960.00 = -$580.00 loss -ebay fees, -PayPal Fees, not a good week for him. I guess that will be the last Studebaker for him! [:0]
