  • Elvis Presley gets the chicks in his 61 Hawk

    G'day from Elvis,
here in the middle of England.

Leamington Spa and Warwick to be exact.

I havent been around State side much these past 30 years or so, but am happy to say I still retain my fantastic ability to pull chicks, especially when I get into my way cool flares and get my hair done.

Maybe it was the 61 Hawk that pulled the chicks. Personally, I think it was my natural charasmatic charm and adonnis figure, coupled to a babelicious Australian accent.

The girls had a great time in the company of 'The King' of England

    Thank ya very much.

    Elvis

My next door neighbor came over the other week and asked if I would drive their daughter and a few friends to a hen night in Leamington Spa. All I had to do was rock up in my Lark and she also said very quietly, frock up as bloody Elvis. My wife convinced me that I would make a good replica of the King as my portly belly is now about the right size, and the fact that fleres in 2008 are way cool.

I had to do a little convincing to the ladies, that Elvis would not do it in a Lark, but he would do it in style, in a 61 Hawk. So all last week I pulled my finger out to get the springs and front end back together in the chick magnet. It has been off the road for a few months having a little routine maintenance when I get the chance.

All my efforts paid off on the Friday, but picking up the hen was not a flash idea as far as my hernia was concerned !! There were over 30 chickletes at the bar waiting for us.

On arival as my reward they gave me a few pints of beer. Afterall Australians think beer is mothers milk. All the ladies absolutely loved the ride and the spectical of it all. I graciously departed at 10pm to let the wayward hens do what hens do best. Cluck uncontrolably till the cows come home.

So guys, Elvis still lives, and is currently in Warwick hospital having a hernia operation !!!

Thank ya very much Leonard for posting the pictures for me.

Pretty good percentage there! I didn't see one Stude in London last year, or a good crowd like that. Mother's milk, indeed. Thanks for the pictures, I must not be looking in the right pubs.

Hmmmm...so a '61 Hawk works even BETTER than a '58 Packard Hawk, so then maybe a '64 GT Hawk.....

Hey Diff. I think that a new nick name for you is in order. How about 'SHOWBAG' You are full of it! But good luck to you. That may inspire me to get my hawk on the road. Are you coming to Ballarat next year?
