  • The oldest car you've ridden in.

Here's me riding shotgun in Dr. Cade's 1911 Flanders runabout with Doc's son Stephen at the wheel. (Stephen Allen's Auto) This is the oldest car I've ridden in. The 2nd oldest is Doc's 1913 Stude.

(That's Pat Skelly drooling in the background. )

One cool car indeed! 4 cylinder with 3 speed transaxle. (trans bolted directly to the rear end) Rear mechanical brakes.

I've ridden in Floyd Jaehnert's beautiful 1912 EMF. It's kind of like riding in a tractor, but lots of fun. I've sat in a Studebaker buggy, but it was sitting.

You didn't say it had to be a Studebaker so the oldest car I have ever ridden in was my friend's 1909 Rambler. The photo below is him in it.

The earliest car that I can remember riding on a public road in was a 1915 Dodge. I separate riding in a parking lot, on a show field, on private grounds, etc. from using a car on a public highway in traffic (as it was intended to be used).

Would have to be a Model T Ford, not sure what year. Oldest car I've *driven* would be a '41 Stude.

The oldest vehicle I've driven would have to be Jeff Rice's '37 CE. As far as a stocker, it'd be a totally original, unrestored '38 Commander State sedan belonging to StudeGeorge Klutkowski.

1910 Buick, in Oregon Trail Days Parade Gering Nebraska circa 1968. A fellow two blocks from us collected brass age cars and I was always hanging around...so this 7 year old and a few friends had the time of our life's.
