Yeah, it's a sweetie alright! [^] Problem is, this dealer does not know anything about it or does not post it! I would want to know what's inside of that engine! Avanti Cam? Aftermarket cam? Compression? Ported heads? big valves? 289 C.I., assume partial flow engine by filter or no? Auto. Trans is a HD water cooled Flight-O-Matic? Axle ratio? etc, etc, etc.!!

All serious street rods like this are all about the engine, and we know NOTHING, except it appears to have a electric clutch kick-in McCulloch VS-57 S/C blowing a AFB 4 Brl. on a partial flow engine and it's Automatic.

Some of us are a bit ahead of you John! See this post:

That is certainly an interesting car; well done and as cute as a button. Those of us partial to 1959-1960 Larks certainly find it appealing.

The seller doesn't assert it was factory-assembled as shown...and with good reason, John: It wasn't! Several visible parts (for example, the bonnet on top of the carburetor) didn't even exist the day that car was assembled.

Nor is it a 2-door sedan (F Body) as the seller states. It's a J-body (pillarless 2-door hardtop), as seen from the body tag displayed on the cowl panel.

It sure is cute, though; I'm among the many who would really like to have it to drive just exactly "as is." BP

Keep watching e-bay, Peet; one probably shows up maybe every two weeks. Or, look around the SDC website. BP
