The only one I can remember missing out on was a '57 Golden Hawk. A friend had told me a Studebaker widow in a nearby town had a '56 Golden Hawk she wanted to sell. I wasn't interested in a '56 (then). Later I found that she had sold the car which was a [u]'57</u> Golden Hawk with p/s. p/w, p/b AND factory air for $2,500 to a local gas station owner.
