That would be the way to travel thru Europe. Anyone have an idea what the current rate is to ship a car across the pond (and back)?

            1964 Studebaker Daytona - 289 4V, 4-Speed (Cost To Date: $2125.60)

            Tom - Bradenton, FL

            1964 Studebaker Daytona - 289 4V, 4-Speed (Cost To Date: $2514.10)
            1964 Studebaker Commander - 170 1V, 3-Speed w/OD

If you ship, experts recommend getting a container. You can fit 2 (or maybe 3) cars in it and split the cost.
Cost (naturally) depends on east coast-west coast...but I don't think it's all that much different.

I'd love to take my Avanti to the Goodwood Historic event, but it would be pricey.

Thanks for the report. I would like to visit the Saab museum. I have owned two Saabs in my life a 96 that my wife and I rallied a lot and a 95 wagon that I loved dearly. Looks like you all had a good time.

                        Hello.
The cost for transportation a car in a Container from
New York to Gotenburg in Sweden = 1400-1600 USD,
For the same money, I can fill the Avanti 8 times with gas here in Sweden.

                        An idea could be,
Take your studebakers to Great Britain or Holland,
                        Driving them tru Europe,
                        Ending up in Sweden,
And sell your cars to us.

                          *An old Groucho Marx joke.

Seriously, with the high (by US standards) fuel prices and the relative difficulty in obtaining parts, you and your fellow European Studebaker enthusiasts really deserve a special award.
Thanks for keeping the cars on the road!

Thank you for posting the pictures of the meet. I met the owner of the green '53 in South Bend last year. His car and mine are twins.
