  • Video-Belgian 6 cyl. GT

You might enjoy this sweet little POV video of a '64 GT in the Belgian countryside.

At first, something seemed different. Halfway through I recognized the unmistakably smooth hum of the six. Nice compliment to the Turning Wheels coverage of the Belgian-built Studebakers.

When the car first started down the road, it was so rough I thought it might have been in Pennylvania - then the pavement smoothed out and I knew it was somewhere else...

        Very nice car.

I can see why they wouldn't want a V8 on those roads ...it'd be too fast

Interesting sound effects. Some kind of vibration, I think.
            Liked the video though.

I lived in Belgium for 7 years and there were plenty of roads to do 100+ mph. This is some backroad. The road tax will kill you. I paid over $1000 per year in tax on a 3500 Rover SDI in the early 80's. Gas was about $4+ per gal. D'Ietren became the Audi distributor after being the Studebaker distributor for many years. I only saw one Hawk and a 53 hardtop while I lived there.
