I bet the correct price is $4,000.00!
If it were closer I'd go look at it.

Bams, if you think $4,000 is low you haven't had to sell one of these in a loooong time. In my world $4000 is still high. No-one I know has paid that much for one.

Wow! Lonerock, Oregon is in the middle of nowwhere![:0] Maybe that's why the $4 pricetag...[}] However, according to Google Maps it's about 4 hrs. and 183 miles from Oregon City... maybe if it's still available during the Zone Meet in July I'll have to go have a look (after verifying the price tag, of course) I must be a CASO.

You're right! Four dollars IS cheap. I see a lot of Craigslist ads that have things like $1 in the title just to hook you. Then when you open the ad the jerk wants $25,000 or something.

Ok Guys, Here's the scoop on the $4.00 Studebaker.

                          First off, it isn't $4.00!! As I thought, it's $4,000.00
I just spoke to the lady who owns it, and this is what she has told me.

The listing was typed by by a friend, she doesn't have a computer. They realized there was a problem with the listing, but didn't get it fixed.

                          Enough of that.

Her mother bought the car new. Since then it has been either in a garage, or a carport.
She says it has the original paint, no rust that she is aware of. She did touch up a spot of paint.
It has original interior in decent shape with the exception of the top of the rear seat. Sun came thru the carport and did it in.
                          It has reclining seats.
The listing states the original miles.
Equipped with a six cylinder engine and Automatic trans.
The left Cruiser emblem is broken.
She had seat belts added to the car some years ago.
She said she is open to offers. I did inform her that four doors bring less money and also the same with a six cyl engine.
                          Nice lady to talk with.
There is NO power brakes of steering.

                          Hope this helps

Makes sense. Seems like a nice car, but sadly is maybe a $1500-1800 car

Well George, you beat me to it again! She did mention that, "nice man who called from Grant's Pass."

The Lady's name is Arleta. She is, by the way, VERY flexible on the price of the car. "I know it's a classic, but have no idea what to ask for it. I just threw the four thousand dollar price out there. Make me an offer," she replied to my questions. Seems to me that Arleta will be taking offers for a while and will call back the best in her own time.

Lone Rock is thirty-five miles south-east of Condon which is located in the north-east part of Oregon. Quite a drive even for you, George. Nice car by all descriptions, though. But, a six cylinder Cruiser??? I didn't even know they offered them.

Here's a link to the map (mapquest won't let me copy the map):
                              http://www.mapquest.com/mq/8-cHAWwcTyHoxRtC2tVgLp

LoneRock is south and east of Condon.
