  • Part Transport Needed - Reidsville to NC Vicinity

Help! I cannot attend the Reidsville Swap Meet due to the date change, and commitments at work. (Darn work shouldn't get in the way of Studebaker fun<G>!)

I was supposed to pick up a Lark roof section (with a Skytop) at Reidsville. Is there anyone from North Carolina, southern Virginia, or South Carolina that can transport this roof section back home with them? I could then arrange a date to come and pick the roof section up from you.

Let me know if you can help me out, or know someone who might be ablt to!

    Paul

I can bring it as far as Richmond, Virginia, if you can't find anyone who can bring it closer. Is this the skytop on a 61 Lark roof that I sold to Peter Cristillo a couple of years ago?

        Leonard,

That would be great, I'll let you know in a day or two if I get any offers closer. What day are you leaving for Reidsville? Email me at: r1lark@aol.com (letter 'r', numeral 'one', lark) so I have your email. I have to go up to Richmond anyway, to pick up a couple of 185 flathead 6 engines from Guido (Gary Hearn), so this would work out for me.

And yes, it is the same top!! This top is traveling a lot of miles<G>! And I love the picture of the roof section on top of the AMC. Is that Peter tying it on?

Yes, that is Peter. Who else would drive a Rambler sedan to Virginia and tie a Lark roof to it and drive back to NJ?

I have some factory photos of Studebakers with skytops that you might like to see. The 53-54 has a sliding sun roof. I don't know the stories behind them. I am planing on going to Reedsville on Friday. I will email you.
