Did stude ever go to electric wiper motors? When? will they work in early studes?
How different are the 53 taillight housings between the sedan and C/K? (SASCO has the sedan housings in steel.. could they be tweaked to fit the C/K and painted?)
Anyone have a picture, or diagram of the front bumper pan on a 53 C/K. (I can't find one, and a pic would help with the fabrication. )
Why do we drive on the parkway and park on the driveway?

San antonio TX. 53 Champion Coupe, to be brought back from the dead.

Electric wiper were standard and optional on many models. Sedan housings are not even close. The pan has been reproduced in fiberglass, and used are available.

They sure did. Not sure when, but I know that a '56 Hawk wiper motor will fit in a '51 coupe. You could probably find a later one for your '53 with little trouble.

They are VERY different. You'd never get the sedan housings to fit a C/K.

      I do not, sorry.

That's just how it is. But then again, how does a rainbow work? How does PosiTrac in a Plymouth work? It just does. [)]

Stude had electric wipers at least in '53 perhaps earlier. Define "Early Studes". What vehicle do you want electric wipers in?

Very different. I sure as heck couldn't "tweak" them.

Keep looking for the pan. '55-64's can be used with very a small amount of work.

I think a fiberglass pan has been made as well, not sure who made it?

I have a 1949 2R17A fire truck that has electric wipers (and a 6 volt alternator).

The reason for parking on the driveway and driving on the parkway is because for the most part everybody always decides to drive and park in a way that I'm almost certain and probably right in thinking I am pretty sure that I don't know.

My '51 Coupe has electric wipers, but they are only one speed. My '53 was equipped with 2-speed electric; State and Regal models respectively.

A NOS "lower air deflector" for the '53 sold on Ebay a couple months ago for $1100. Used should be findable and, as mentioned, has been repopped in fiberglass.

Since all of the other questions have been fully answered, I will ask "Why do Generals sleep in private quarters and Privates sleep in general quarters?" And to ensure Studebaker content, I am talking about privates who by day are transported in Studebaker military transport trucks.

The sedan lights from SASCO appear to be diecast, which is the OEM version of the lights, good luck trying to modify. Not impossible but difficult. They are also $60. I'd look at Ebay, you'll find poor quality 53, 54, 55 C&K tail lights available for less if you want to fix and repaint them. Heck, you could have had several at reasonable prices at South Bend last week. If you are going to paint them, I prefer the 54 and 55 options. Your biggest decision should be based on the price you need to pay for lenses and how original you want the vehicle. My 54 will run the original housings with appropriate filling and prep for painting. They will be body color, which to my eye helps the fender flow. JMHO

                            good advice as always.

I probably misnamed the part I need. I have the air dam (scoop)that goes below the bumper. I'm missing a filler strip above the bumper and below the grill surrounds. I have one from a sedan that looks close (too big)that I might be able to modify. Even a good straight on picture of one on a car, with the hood up would help.

Another mistake on my part, I just assumed aftermarket tail light lenses were available, but I have'nt found any, since the advice above.

No, not going stude correct, too much missing. Just hope to build a presentable driver and save the old gal from the crusher.

I believe that part would be called the grill panel. I don't have my parts catalog here.

SI has the '53 C/K tail light lenses for $35 each.
