    Yes, I've heard the phrase...
    "There's no such thing as a cheap Avanti."

    BUT
    They are fairly "affordable" for a quasi-muscle, semi-luxury car.
    You can buy a nice one for well under $20,000. A comparable Mustang or Camaro would be much more. And a lot more common and less inteesting and stylish.

    Of course, mine is in the shop and I'm dreading the bill to correct many years of benign neglect of the brake and PS system inflicted on it by the previous owner (who drove it 2,100 miles in 9 years) and myself (I havent done much to it in the 2 years I've had it except drive it 2500 miles).
