    Jeff,
Do you know if anyone has a roster of these cars? I used to have #0253 white with blue int. & 4-speed.

    thanks,
    Dan RRL

Boy , when I hear "grandpa's car " I shudder . My very 1st car was my grandfathers '52 starlite coupe which I got in 1967 with 15,000 miles on it ....just like brand new. I sure was proud of that car but was a stupid teenager and spent the next 4 years driving that car into the ground . I sure wish i had another chance with grandpa's car ....would do it all together different now

I have a 1961 Studebaker Hawk...not a Golden or a Silver, but just the Hawk that my grandfather special ordered. Knowing that it would be the last year they would be produced. It is a 4-speed manual on the floor with the V-8 engine. On the glove box it says that it was special built for "my grandfather" with the # 535. It has been stored inside since grandpa brought it home in '61. It has @63k miles and has some body rust (not much)and the chrome is pitted, but the interior was re-done around 10-15 years ago by my grandpa. It is fire engine red with with white just below the fins. I don't know much about cars, but I would say it is in very restorable condition. I'm am trying to sell this and have no idea how much to even ask...Any help from anyone knowing anything or information about this would be greatly appreciated.
                Thank you...
