  • Golden Hawk 400

I just bought a Golden Hawk 400 and am looking for tips on how to customize it. How far should I chop the roof, lower it? How about a Toyota powertrain?

    Yea its April 1 again.

Why not be different? Invest in a glass stretcher and raise the top.

Robert, why not go with one of those Mazda rotary engines?

I'm happy to say that the sorry little 6 cylinder boat anchor of an engine blew up in my '59 on the way to school this morning. I've got a line on a cheap 350.

There's nothing wrong with putting a cheap 350 in the truck, Matthew. If you tie it so it doesn't slide around it will hold the back end down on slick roads. They do a nice job -- but the big blocks are even better.

I thought the plan was to go with a Packard 352....... (Not exactly a Stude)
