  • SDC or NGC or both. THANKS Jerry Forrester

AS any of you that have read my post know, I am new to SDC, bot not new to Studebakers and brand X old cars. I have been a member of a number of clubs. For the most part the SDC could be the NGC "nice guys club". I have gained very hepful info from the members. My grandson, son, and I went for about a 140 mile trip from Alabama over to Georgia this past weekend to pickup a 232 engine that Jerry Forrester GAVE me for my 53 coupe. We had a chance to visit for a short while, see Jerry's beautiful 55 coupe and felt very welcome. I think there are a lot of friendly people in this club, but I may have found one at the top of the list right off. Thanks SDC, and THANKS JERRY FORRESTER!!!!!!!

Tex, thanks for the great post. I have been an SDC member for over 30 years and the feelings that you have posted are the ones I have felt for the entire time I have been a member. I kow you will continue to find very helpful both within the forum and from local SDC members. Hopefully you have found a local chapter to join where you will find more members of the NGC. If not there is a list of local chapters on another part of this site.

            I am blushing.

Thanks. I really enjoyed the visit with Tex and crew. And was really glad to find someone that could use that boat anchor.
