When I bought my building there were three VW's parked inside, including one of those vans with about 54 windows that was laying on its side. Since I had 15 or 20 tractors to get under roof I told the owner to get all of that stuff out before I took ownership.

When I lived in Ohio, I went to look at an Avanti that needed restoring, and the guy who owned it mentioned his father-in-law had an old Stude truck in a turkey barn on his property. I went back later and went to look at it. First we had to carefully lift off a tarp that had at least an inch of turkey droppings on it (Peeyuuu!)

Turns out it was a 61 Champ from Texas Dept of Roads maintenance truck that was specially built with a long narrow bed and dual spares in the rear fenders. Sheet metal was surface rust only and very straight. Mice had taken care of the insides and wiring.

        I passed (nearly passed out!).

A guy in Illinois parked a 60 ford convert and a 62 ford pickup in his shed, left them run,and went to 'sleep'. Almost 20 years later, the estate sold the vehicles,I got the truck-had about 24k miles on it,IIRC.-no rust,no mouse damage.
