  • We've joined the Hole In The Hood Gang

Here's the underside of the hood for the '56. It'll be this color above the trim, and white below it.

While I like the color, I want to see the hole.
Qualification for that club is more about what is sticking through the hole, than the hole itself[}]......

Is this in reference to the 5/8" hole stamped in the hood reinforcement panel, seen in the lower left quadrant of the photo? Or, is a much larger one about to be cut? That said, I heard somewhere(don't really know if it is true) that this particular subject was politically incorrect on this discussion board.

                    We all did, Dave.
Matt told a joke and it went over our pea-pickin heads.

Someone who is no longer here used the term as a negative to dicribe those who modified their cars (think of a supercharger sticking thru the hood). Over the last couple years, it's starting to become a term of endearment, or at least looked at with a sense of humor. Another set of buttons might be needed for this 'gang' [)].
