Ron, I use esnipe on cheap items, can't afford it on pricey ones! But you know what? It still gets down to: "[u]HOW MUCH YOU BID</u>,"! [:0] That is what will win or lose these items, if you really need it, and you are quite sure it's good, ya gotta throw the Farm at it!

Well Rich, when it comes to e-bay, I don't have a farm to throw. I always approach this kind of thing as a pig in a poke.[}] Still, as I also usually do this kind of bidding, that's okay (LOL)... after all, turnabout is only fair!

I bought my 63 Daytona 4-spd. parts car from John Batka by placing my bid with 21 seconds to go!

I'm a big e-snipe user, but in this case I forgot to do it. Being on dial-up I remembered it with about 10 minutes to go, grabbed my laptop, raced up to our local McDonald's parking lot, logged onto their wi-fi, and just got that bid in! Wouldn't have been able to do it if I'd stayed home and on dial-up[|)]

Use e-snipe- no charge if you don't win, and cheap if you do. Best feature for me is I don't have to remember to watch something I want; just set it up to snipe with a minute or two to go; set it and forget it!

                Ron:

You got my attention and am a bit confused[?]. I didn't bid on any carb tonite or even recently.

                    Ya know....
                    I have snipe programs....
I end up rarely using them.
I have found that it is important to me to assess the value of an Ebay item....'To Me'...
I bid that amount and let it fly..
                    If it holds... Ok.
If it doesn't hold... So what.
Most lost auctions don't bug me that much.
But if a lost bid bugs me...
Then my bid the next time will reflect my angst.
I try to put all my Ebay victories in one place so I can reflect on my gluttony[}]
