Since 1985 I have only driven Studes to Studebaker meets, no matter how near or far. But this year may be different, and I will probably be on the Gold Wing. I just really enjoy riding it nowadays, and it also helps keep the five senses sharp. Today, I rode it up to Indianapolis to hang out with an old friend who is doing final prep of his immaculate Studebaker, for Mansfield this week.

If I were to drive a Stude, biggest problem would be deciding which one to drive, 62GT, 63Gt or 56J. Mine are drivers though, and usually parked in the regular parking lot, or sometimes in the, "Display Only" parking area. I really enjoy looking at all Studes though, drivers, survivors, show cars, etc.. Looking forward to Mansfield.

Driving the 41 Champion to Mansfield. Sounds more impressive than it is, I only live 60 miles away...

Spotted 4 today... A 1930-ish mildly rodded sedan, 4 door Avanti, hawk gt, and a hot rod pickup on a trailer. They’re starting to show up!

You should tell your friend that when he takes it to a show to fold up the seat cover and put it in the trunk and roll the seat belts up to the seat back because they detract from the appearance of the interior of that beautiful car....

Heading out early tomorrow from Minnesota in a buddy's '64 Commander six. We were going to drive my '62 Hawk until I lost first gear on Thursday. Anybody know a guy in the Twin Cities area that'll rebuild a T86 with overdrive?
