  • Avanti II Wheel Sizes

Is the bolt size the same for an Avanti II as a Stude Avanti. I received a call from a fellow who wanted to change out the wheels. I know the studebaker bolt pattern was the same as Ford and Chrysler.

The "backset" is the MOST important dimension because of Disc Brake clearance problems with the wider wheels, yes the early Avanti II is the same "bolt pattern" as Studebaker to at least 1983, 1984 to 2006 Avantis could be a problem, because they are most likely Chevrolet/Pontiac.

I have Chrysler 5th Ave. wheels on my 81 Avanti II. 205/70 on the front and 215/75 on the rear gives it stance of a Stude. NT
