I have had some car parts shipped to me via Greyhound (not Stude parts, though!) Their prices are reasonable - UPS, etc, although you do have to pick up at the bus station.

I received a transmission/OD from Indiana to Las Vegas (too heavy for UPS to take) via Greyhound and the cost to the shipper was about $60. I think it was based on weight. Arrived in perfect condition in about 4 days.

Yes. My father had a 4 speed transmission shipped via Greyhound from South Bend to Minneapolis. No problems at all.

I have taken car doors, fenders etc to greyhound for shipping without a problem. I bought some front fenders last year for a 50 commander, those puppies are heavy and bulky. The came from the California to here in St. Louis, if I remember correctly they cost me around $60 each to have shipped. There sometimes is a delay in the shipping if they have a full bus as they take the freight off till the next bus if they need room for baggage. I have been very pleased with their service.
