Avantis. Every search engine I use, Avantis used to show up in small numbers compared to other Studes. Now they are all over the net for sale. What's up?

Old guys unloading their expensive toys before their rapidly aging target market drys up. I was that market a few short years ago.
Still have a collection of Studebaker cars and parts, but nothing expensive enough that I'm particularly financially compelled to divest of it.
I won't be able to take any of it with me of course, but nothing to worry about, I can continue to enjoy my ownership right to the end.

Having a 1952 Commander overdrive 4 door and a 1962 Lark V8 Overdrive 4 door, I don't have to worry about rising values. I never expect to see one of them at Barrett Jackson, et all

Here in the greater NYC area SunOco 110 leaded is no longer to be found at any gas stations via the pump, only place still with product in the ground is out in Riverhead Long Island......the only way to get 110 is via 5 and 55 gallon drums......I am thankful to be getting TEL in cans from Wild Bills Corvette...simple to add a prescribed amount to the tank of 93 no-lead.Originally posted by edpjr View PostWow! I'm glad to hear this news. I've invested over $40k in '63 R2 Avanti R2333 starting in 2009. She's a pretty darn sharp now both cosmetically and mechanically. And she'll run like a scalded dog on a mixture of 110 octane leaded fuel and non-ethanol 89.
