  • Studebaker Part USPS Shipping Prices are going up 1/27

Order parts now as shipping prices are going up. First class rates are now zone dependent in addition to weight dependent. Flat rate large boxes go from 18.70 to 19.95. Priority mail prices in general are all rising similarly.

A spot check shows that USPS is still cheaper than UPS and Fedex unless the packages are heavy. Vendors that ship a lot of packages do get better rates from Fedex and UPS.

Not to mention Sales on eBay are supposed to have State Sales Tax added on every purchase starting Jan. 1, 2019 beginning in Washington & Minnesota at this time.

Can they actually figure out what rate to charge, when almost every County in most States, Plus the State rates are ALL different?
And it is the Buyer's County & State Tax you pay on eBay.

When you go into a Store, you Pay the Tax Where the item is located, so the City, County and State that makes the Sale can benefit, this makes NO sense.

On your last statement - That is true for most goods, but, at least in New York, sales tax on a new or used car is based on where the purchaser resides and not where the vehicle was purchased. I know this made a lot of extra work. I sold cars across many counties from the small dealership that I worked at.
