  • 1929 Studebaker

We have been contacted by a Studebaker owner in England who wishes to confirm what he has. The car was imported by a dealer in Bradford, England, in 1929. He believes it is a 1929 Studebaker Commander 8 FTD Regal.
The engine number is FD14926. It is believed to be the car's original engine. The chassis number may be 167029-2.
    Any help will be appreciated.

Yes, that would be a 1929-30 Commander model FD Eight with the 250 c.i. nine main bearing engine. Page one of my data sheet attached. Have lots of documentation on this series (hundreds of pages). Note you chassis number is not correct See my data sheet for the range.
