  • My 51 on ebay

The good news is the bidding is going nuts, the (maybe) bad news is my high bidder is in Spain. Not the first international buyer, but they alway give me pause.

Kinda takes the wind outta "too many doors!"

    Miscreant adrift in
    the BerStuda Triangle

    1957 Transtar 1/2ton
    1960 Larkvertible V8
    1958 Provincial wagon
    1953 Commander coupe

No deceptive flags to prove I'm patriotic - no biblical BS to impress - just ME and Studebakers - as it should be.

Reminds me of when John B. Nellis used to drive around in his '51 convertible with a '57 Golden Hawk engine (with supercharger). Other than my '57 Golden Hawk, the only other car that I had with a supercharged '57 Golden Hawk engine was one of my '53 Commander Starliners.

It's at double my reserve, it's shock to me too. It's not the first time I've had two or three motivated bidders, but it still surprises me.

I gotta say JP, I really wasn't expecting that car to get bids that high! [:0][8D]

Isn't it the Thoms brothers that drive around too all the National meets in their supercharged '51 Land Cruiser? It was one of my favorite cars I saw in South Bend. [^]
