  • Moving Sale at SI in SB

Saw a posting on Facebook about a moving sale at SI in South Bend.

Anybody know what's up (if this is old news my apology, I must have missed it)?

Not too much of a shocker, really.
When it comes to moving- less is always more.

If I had to move that amount of stuff- I'd have a sale too.

          A BIG one!!!!

Dollars to donuts they will have another sale soon.
          Very soon...

Maybe that is the reason why I have to wait since 3 weeks for my order, which I had ordered via DHL Express

You can see the line up now for those hard to find RHD Lark hood release cables. Seeing everything in crates like that shows what a massive undertaking a move will prove to be.
                      Luck to all involved.

Hummm..., seems it would be more work to onesy-twoes sell these items than it would be to lift the whole crate with a forklift and put it on/off a truck. I mean really how much of the stuff pictured do you really think they can sell in two days??? It looks like it has been sitting for six decades. They may be moving and they may be having a sale but I doubt the two day sale will significantly reduce what they have to move.

I'll say this though..., is there ANY other car manufacture out there that has such a surplus of NOS product? Maybe percentage wise Deloran comes close?

I just wish the timing was better....Tuesday thru Thursday this week isn't very accommodating to those of us who live 6 hours away.

So are they vacating SB or Plainfield, or both?

I believe the new owners purchased the entire inventory of SI but are not under contract for the facility in South Bend; and Ed Reynolds owns the farm in Greenfield.
