Has anyone mentioned Baer Studebaker in Palo Alto, California? I was fortunate to get to visit with the dealer's widow a few times in the early 1990s. She was a very sweet and spritely woman still driving her white 1965 Cruiser. I was amazed when I visited her one time to see her climbing stairs ahead of me up to her floor skipping one or two at a time! Anyone know if she is still alive or if the car was sold?

Two more dealerships, if not already posted:

PARKIN Motors, Earlville, Iowa
established in late '30s as a Chrysler-Plymouth dealer, took on the Studebaker franchise in 1940. Gave up Studebaker in 1963, closed doors on dealership in 1973. Gary Hearn's 1946 M16-52 fire truck chassis sold from this dealership.

RICHTER'S Studebaker Co., Bloomington, Wisconsin
established in about 1939, remained as a one-make dealer until about 1965. My 1948 M16-52 fire truck chassis was sold from this dealership in Dec. 1947.

PARTIN was the name of our next door neighbors in Ruckersville, PARKIN (with a K) is the name of the dealership in Earlville. I just checked the nameplate to be sure.
