I couldnt get the hood open, hinges frozen, I was going to buy it and part it, but didnt know if I could get enough out of it to make it worth my while, he wants $1500 for it.

that be in the back woods of Pennsylvania, LOL.....its actually about 15 miles from my house in Waynesboro PA 17268

He said he was offered $1000 for the front clip about 10 years ago...and he figured the rest of the car was worth something.....I figured if I could get enough out of it in parts to cover the cost of the car Id strip it and take the rest to the crusher, I hate to say it, but it doesnt look like it could be brought back to even driver status with out DEEP pockets...

I see that the most valuable item, the tail lights have already been removed. There is not much demand for the rest of it mostly due to the low production and surival numbers (not percentage) of the sedans and hardtops. Unless you are surprised by a great interior, I would think that the most value in what I see is the front bumper and the wheelcovers (the wheelcovers are the same as for a Packard Hawk). Depending on how hard it is to retrive the car, I would think $200-$500.

The fibreglass pieces look really good! Since they'll fit anything 58 Packard but the Hawk, they might bring a decent buck. As Gary says, the front bumper too. And it's two grille sections look OK as well. They've been NLA for 10 years now.
Then there's the 289 under the hood, unique side mouldings, etc.. It's certainly worth saving - it's a matter of how much your time's worth.
