  • Auction search site yields some interesting finds

I don't know if this has been referenced before (didn't see it on a forum search), but Auction Zip yielded a couple of exciting things with just a preliminary search:

first is for a Studebaker service garage in PA that actually houses a '40 Stude:

Next on March 10, is an Ohio auction coming up that features a bullet-nose with no reserve!:

    APOLOGIES--first one listed is over...

The signage alone in the PA garage is beyond spectacular.

That didn't take long. Looks like this may be a flip from the auction in PA 3 days ago?

You're probably right on Jeff. Too bad we didn't know about the Pa. sale before hand. Hope some Stude guys got a few bargains.

I was STUDEBAKER, when STUDEBAKER wasn't "KOOL".

I like the dash in that Commander. Never saw in inside of one before.

I just loved seeing all the stuff inside of that building that has the '40 in it. Thanks for posting this.

P & D Ignition, that was a good brand! I sold it in the 70's. P & D was a division of Bendix. They got out of the ignition business at some point and I recall that almost all the stores in my area switched to Borg Warner.

Just stumbled on the thread! Did anyone here attend, I would enjoy hearing about the auction itself.
